Located in the Northern Menashe Heights, Kibbutz Ein Hashofet offers one of Israel’s oldest and most established kibbutz Ulpan programs. Founded in 1951, it combines intensive Hebrew classes, hands-on work, and an authentic kibbutz lifestyle that promotes community, cooperation, and cultural exchange.

About the Program:

Kibbutz Ulpan is a 5-month multi-level language program that combines intensive Hebrew, meeting new people from all over the world and having a unique experience of becoming part of a rural Israeli community, living and working alongside locals on a kibbutz. Kibbutz Ulpan students may participate in cultural activities held on the kibbutz on the same terms as kibbutz residents.

About the Kibbutz:

Located in the Northern Menashe Heights, Kibbutz Ein Hashofet was established in 1937 by two Hashomer Hatzair groups from Poland and New York, forming a unique blend of cultures. Ein Hashofet was the first Kibbutz Ulpan established and has been operating since 1951! Over 100 Ulpan sessions have taken place with thousands of students, many of whom later made Aliyah and established their homes in the kibbutz.

Kibbutz Ulpan Ein Hashofet provides participants with a genuine taste of Israeli society through its “study and work” model. Students study Hebrew 18–24 hours a week and work up to 24 hours a week. Work assignments vary according to kibbutz needs and rotate when possible. Beyond the classroom, participants join cultural events, enjoy the kibbutz’s green landscapes, and become part of a long tradition of young adults who made Israel their home through the Ulpan experience.
