An exciting development opportunity to work for a major international oil company. Chevron Mediterranean Ltd. is looking to recruit a junior/trainee Instrumentation and electrical Technician on a 14/14 rotation on their Tamar Production Platform.

Tamar is situated 18 miles off the coast of Isreal, with a 90-mile subsea tieback. First gas was in 2014 producing up to 1.25 BCF per day. 

The Junior / Trainee Instrumentation and Electrical Technician supports the installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation, control and electrical systems used in oil and gas operations. This role is designed for entry-level candidates and focuses on developing technical skills while working under close supervision of senior technicians, ensuring safe and reliable plant operations.
Key job responsibilities:

Assist senior technicians with the installation, calibration, and maintenance of field instruments such as:

·         Pressure, temperature, level, and flow transmitters.

·         Control valves, actuators, and positioners.

·         Analysers and basic control systems.

·         Fire and Gas Detection and Protective Systems

Support routine preventive and corrective maintenance activities and assist with basic fault finding and troubleshooting of instrumentation loops. • Analyzes, assesses, and improves Valves and Flange asset integrity, reliability, and preventative as well as predictive maintenance programs. 

• Manages critical valve maintenance program for the Business Unit - identification, preventative maintenance program development and sustainment, and corrective repair for all assets in the Business Unit.

• Leads identification and implementation of centralized vs facility led maintenance work activities for fixed equipment and valves across the Business Unit.
