The Kibbutz Movement - Lone Soldiers
Supporting lone soldiers with kibbutz housing, community & IDF integration across Israel
Who We Are
The Lone Soldiers Department of the Kibbutz Movement has been a home for thousands of lone soldiers since the founding of the State of Israel. As the central body representing 230+ kibbutzim, we coordinate the absorption, housing, and family integration of lone soldiers across Israel β from the Golan to the Arava.
What We Offer Lone Soldiers
β’ Housing on the kibbutz - fully furnished accommodation throughout your service
β’ Adoptive families - every soldier is matched with a kibbutz family who becomes your home base in Israel
β’ Holiday & Shabbat hospitality - never spend a chag alone
β’ Personal coordinator - a dedicated point of contact on every kibbutz
β’ Financial guidance - assistance navigating IDF benefits, rent subsidies, and grants
β’ Post-service support - help with studies, work, and continued kibbutz life after release
β’ Community of peers - connect with hundreds of other lone soldiers across the kibbutz network
For Olim Making Aliyah
If you're making Aliyah and planning to serve in the IDF, the kibbutz is one of the most supportive and welcoming environments in Israel. We work closely with Garin Tzabar, Nefesh B'Nefesh, and the Jewish Agency to ensure a smooth transition from new immigrant to active soldier with a real Israeli home.
